Metallica – Damage, Inc. Lyrics 9 years ago
Since it's the last song of the album, it poses an interesting question: did the people avoiding control in the songs leading up just succumb to another controlling entity? Did they become the entity they feared? In Orwell's "Animal Farm," the pigs that sought to overthrow the farmer end up becoming just like the farmer. Given that the razorback is a pig, hmmm...

Someone posted confusion about the line "slamming through, don't fuck with fazorback." I just looked it up, and In the animal kingdom, a razorback is a type of wild hog/feral pig, but in terms of land, a razorback is a steep-sided, narrow ridge of land. If they're talking about the ridge, the line, "stepping out? you'll feel our hell on your back." could be a fall from grace, as if Damage Inc. is saying, "if you question us, we'll push you off, you'll land flat on your back and we'll jump on you like wild pigs, cuz you've landed in our trough."

Take a damn poetry class or learn some poetic tools, then, but quit whining about not liking deep meanings.

Lovage – Sex (I'm A) Lyrics 9 years ago
I vaguely remember Terri Nunn talking about this in their live DVD from around 2003, and I don't remember the female character in the song being a prostitute. No, it was about the things that the sexes have to go through, showing the advantages and disadvantages--she has to be all these things/gets to be all these things, but he has to be/gets to be just one kind of man. It can work in either way. Knowing that it's Terri, I'd bet she is taking advantage of her power to at least bring herself fulfillment.

Marilyn Manson – Cryptorchid Lyrics 9 years ago
Perhaps the referring to the number 7, if it's an occult symbol, is about him not wanting to become what Christianity has sentenced him to become (the heretic/Antichrist).

Wormboy I could interpret in a strictly Freudian sense, a metaphor for genitalia.

I wouldn't even be here but for a Google search for testicles. Cryptorchidism is a medical condition in which one or both of the testicles do not descend. So the song becomes more figurative in terms of his earlier themes of being bullied/forced feminization from society because he does not conform to what society's image of masculinity it.

Siouxsie and the Banshees – Scarecrow Lyrics 10 years ago
There are drug references riddled throughout this song. Meeting someone in secrecy ("upon the hill, he'll tell his secrets.")

"to spin the gold and silver stitches." Drug addicts often refer to their drug of choice like gems.

"My so-called friends say you're not alive." Could mean that no one believes her when she is telling them that said person needs help.

"Shock the colors to bleach inside" - seems pretty evident.
