Mindless Self Indulgence – Anonymous Lyrics 8 years ago
Yeah, knowing Jimmy's sense of humor, I'm pretty sure he's making fun of them more than he's condoning it. Does the Anon lifestyle sound anything like this at all? No? Didn't think so. =P

Puscifer – The Arsonist Lyrics 8 years ago
I was thinking this was a serious song at first, but I can't imagine somebody seriously attempting to insult somebody by calling them Beavis. Like what, did Butthead suddenly grow a conscience and decide to make him feel guilty for being a shit-starter?

Ye gods, Peter Sinfield! Why can't you just write a normal revenge song like the rest of us??

Adam and the Ants – Killer in the Home Lyrics 9 years ago
This song definitely continues the album's theme of Native American Indian influences on our culture and our lives. As for the titular "killer", I have no idea.

The idea of being "cut down" with a gun and only given a band-aid to seal the wound is a pretty common one though. It's kinda like being pushed out onto a tightrope and then telling you "oh, it's OK, the net underneath will totally catch you if you fall."

Riverside – Hyperactive Lyrics 9 years ago
I think this song continues a theme that's common in Riverside's lyrical themes and album covers, which is that technology is fast outstripping our ability to adapt to it.

Our lives are so controlled and "enhanced" by the new gadgets that bring guidance and depravity both that we don't have time to stop and see what our lives have become.

This might also explain why the person he sees is "too slow / too blurry" because they're trying to live outside of those restraints, and as a result they don't even appear as a ping on his radar.

Nine Inch Nails – In Two Lyrics 10 years ago
Just my $.02 here, but does anybody get the feeling like the main character in this song maybe had a case of DID, and the personalities are starting to bleed into each other? That's how it feels to me. Especially the other voice, "It's getting harder to tell the two of you apart", seems to be intimately familiar with both sides of the person and how they tick, and yet they can't see the difference anymore either.

Nine Inch Nails – All Time Low Lyrics 10 years ago
Anybody else get the feeling that "the passengers arrived today" might be a reference to those ones lining up at the station from "Into The Void"?

It does seem like this song is pretty heavily laden will self-reference.
