Yes this song has something to do about god, however it is NOT about him. It is about her attempt at suicide that she either failed at or "chickened out." The lyrics give it away and are easily distinguished. ******I tried to kill the pain But only brought more (So much more) I lay dying And I'm pouring, crimson regret, and betrayal. She tried killing the pain(escaping it) by committing suicide. But failed and ended up in physical pain from not fully killing herself. (As gruesome as that sounds) She lay dying (pretty self-explanatory) Pouring crimson regret is blood The betrayal could be from a man that could have possibly brought her to this, or it could mean she is being betrayed because she wasn't able to kill herself right away and has to go through this. ******I'm dying, praying, bleeding, and screaming. She is praying to be put of this pain, bleeding from her attempt, and screaming from pain. Am I too lost, to be saved? Has she gone too far and is it worth it to live.******My God. My tourniquet. Return to my salvation. She is asking for him to bring her back from her closeness to death. ****** Do you remember me? Lost for so long. Simply asking if you have remember her and her struggles. Will you be on the other side? Will you forget me? Asking if when she's gone, will we forget her. *******(I want to die) She either means she wanted to die from the beginning which is what this song is about, or wanting to be rid of the pain her attempt caused her. ****** My wounds cry for the grave She is saying that the pain she put herself in is asking to be out of this misery and pain ******My soul cries for deliverance She wants it to stop and given peace from it. She is asking to be delivered from it all. ******Will I be denied? Christ! Tourniquet! My suicide! Now this one can be interpreted different ways. I'd like to think of it that either way, she loses/is denied. -she goes to hell from suicide -she continues to suffer and slowly die -if she is saved, she has to deal with the world she was so eager to leave. ********And if you obviously couldn't already figure out that this was about her suicide... It is the exact words at the end. "My suicide" Ok. That's my interpretation :) |
