Definitely agree on what the other user already said.
It's about him being traumatized by an abusive partner for a very long time, feeling he's been too patient or having given her too many chances, only to be abused and mistreated for longer just because he loved her and wanted to be the best man he could. Now while separated (or perhaps finally divorced) he's feeling these things because the memories and trauma is still deeply haunting and affecting him.
I think everyone who's been there can relate a lot to these lyrics. Without doubt one of Insomnium's best and most underrated songs. Their earlier albums deserve more attention from people these days. |

I think the meaning is quite clear in this one. The other one broke up and is now with someone else while the person is all alone and heartbroken. The lyrics have great intensity and frustration to them. |

I believe this is one of those songs that isn't about any specific subject at all but instead is written about a certain set of thoughts and emotions in a very spiritual way. Incredibly beautiful and poetic lyrics. One of the greatest within the genre. |

I always felt this song is about reaching for happiness and searching for the feeling of completion in life through change, but in the end you always end up feeling the same as when you started despite your efforts. I believe it's about about realising some things are just meant to be and accepting it. In my opinion one of the greatest lyrics ever written. |
