The Rolling Stones – Like a Rolling Stone (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Picking the obvious choice is... obvious. Why not? Love this song. It's message is only perceptible through life experience. No other medium can truly convey its meaning. Live 20-30 years (or 20-30 years worth of life in a briefer epoch) and you can then analyze this song. |
Aesop Rock – Pigs Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Come on guys! This is one of the most simple and explicit Aesop songs out there. He is criticizing corporate culture, denouncing it. Oh God. There is so much meaning here. It's hard to convey in one post. "When the frilly border's faded, is the product mine or yours, pig? Mine, plus I toss a token where I go. Directly to the worms who shovel shit and yellow snow." Here Aesop places his loyalty with those who WORK AND TOIL for a living, and NOT those who profit from the work and toil of others. All you have to do is listen to/read the song again with the view that pigs=corporate types. Then all should become clear to you. |
