I really am not sure about this song at all but I think the song might be about someone who has become "clean" from drug abuse and now everyone is patting him on the head, and praising him for being amazing because they got through their addiction. But on the inside this person is actually still suffering and still fighting the urge to do whatever he got clean from and is just pretending even to himself that he's okay and that he's amazing like people say but deep inside knows that he's about to burst from the urge. "Everyone says you're amazing now that you're clean Only you know the real ones are cause you've seen" This makes me think that he might even be just faking being clean. "There's only one question I want to ask is it healing " And this is what makes me think that he's just completely pretending to be clean to others or knows that he's actually not over the addiction and is about to burst so to speak. That's my interpretation after reading the lyrics for the first time. |
