It's hard for me to see this as actually misogynistic when the lyrics are so blatantly dripping with lust and male fantasy. I think it's more tongue-in-cheek than anything else. For what it's worth, the references to this girl being an "animal" speaks more to a wild nature than something subject to male domination, especially given the reference to "domestication" by another suitor, so if anything is it is anti-misogynistic--the singer would do the opposite. As for the video, well, nudity isn't misogynistic either. To me the video fits perfectly in a song written about dancefloor lust. |
