Mac DeMarco – Let Her Go Lyrics 10 years ago
He's not scat singing. At the end he says "or you can keep her, it's ok, it's up to you, make your own choice" -- according to the Pitchfork album review, this song was recorded as the "upbeat single" that the label wanted, and Mac was not very happy about it. I'm guessing that ending phrase is his rebellion to that, undermining the main advice of the song

I've always heard the first verse as saying "camera-less lens" -- as in, the lens of his eyes.

... I like my version better.

Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines Lyrics 10 years ago
It's hard for me to see this as actually misogynistic when the lyrics are so blatantly dripping with lust and male fantasy. I think it's more tongue-in-cheek than anything else.

For what it's worth, the references to this girl being an "animal" speaks more to a wild nature than something subject to male domination, especially given the reference to "domestication" by another suitor, so if anything is it is anti-misogynistic--the singer would do the opposite.

As for the video, well, nudity isn't misogynistic either. To me the video fits perfectly in a song written about dancefloor lust.
