This song isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's just for S's&G's. If you listen to live performances, they tend to say a lot of funny, immature things. During a performance of What's My Age Again, after the second verse one of them shouted out "It's the slow, pretty part" you may not see the humor in that, but I do. They were making fun of their own song to get some laughs. After that performance, they had a humorous conversation about dog semen. So give 'em a break if you think they are all sick in the head for this song. I know of two other funny songs by them: The Blow Job Song and When You F***ed Grandpa. |

From what I can tell, the song is about not wanting to grow up, and the repercussions of not growing up. I can relate. Half the time, I'm serious, but the other half I act like a kid. Hey, it's fun, no one should ever wish me to grow up, stop telling me to, let time take its course and I will eventually turn out. No one should ever want to grow up. |
