Tears for Fears – Everybody Wants to Rule the World Lyrics | 6 years ago |
@[ZachKing88:23443] Walterbyrd, the novel 1984 by George Orwell was originally published in 1949. It is dystopian fiction set in the year 1984 (about 35 years after it was published). |
Radiohead – You and Whose Army? Lyrics | 6 years ago |
VERY poetic song. So simple lyrically, yet can be interpreted in so many different ways, which is why it's amazing. SO MUCH emotion also. Proabably their best song. Also, includes an actual bass, and builds up to culminate with what amounts to a a piano solo/refrain (very noticeable and sounds fantastic) |
The Band – Tears of Rage Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Great song |

Radiohead – Exit Music (For a Film) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
One of their best, but not best |
Radiohead – Exit Music (For a Film) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
It's O'brien in 1984. Not O'Neil. I know that from the book. Have not watched any of the film versions all of the way through |

YES |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"dark side of the moon is a LP that will stand the test of time, cause nobody can do something like this and they never will". Funny you mention that. I said the exact same thing to a guy last year |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Nice comment, and different than many similar ones on here |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
You did ramble winterhawk, but it was a good little ramble. I agree with most of what you wrote. This is my favorite song on the album, along with "Us and Them". It IS a horribly horribly depressing tune, meaning-wise. If you are above 30 years old, go for a long run while listening to this song and during it you feel like you want to kill yourself |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
serious |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Might by my fav on the album |
Pink Floyd – Time Lyrics | 10 years ago |
One of my favorites on the album |

David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
terrible |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I agree the Nirvana version is better |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I gave you a thumbs up for your Serbian saying. Your interpretation could be right, but probably not. It's either a conversation between the narrator and another, younger version of himself or about judas |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
terrible |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Did Bowie actually say this or is this just your take on it? |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Terrible interpretation |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Wow. Clever, but the "funniest sh*t ever" |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Pretty solid interpretation. Well done |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Maybe |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Certainly one obvious way of interpreting it |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Could be on the right track there, but "sold the world" seems to make the context larger than simply a conversation with a younger version of the narrator's "self". Then again, every person has their own "world". This is a brilliant song |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
This IS a great song |
David Bowie – The Man Who Sold the World Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Maybe |
Mike Posner – Cooler Than Me Lyrics | 11 years ago |
He is talented. Much more than 95% of mainstream artists today |

The Band – The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down Lyrics | 11 years ago |
what a song indeed |
The Cure – Disintegration Lyrics | 11 years ago |
What a song indeed. They are easily one of the best bands ever, if not the best. |
The Cure – Fascination Street Lyrics | 11 years ago |
That is what I thought it was about initially, and I still do. It makes sense. Sometimes, people try to read too much into the lyrics of a song or poem. I have listened to it probably about 300 times |
The Cure – Fascination Street Lyrics | 11 years ago |
It is a very good song. Atmospheric. Great song to listen to to get pumped up or when you are angry or feel like venting...Or to get ready to go partying |
White Lies – The Power & The Glory Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Good song |
Dire Straits – Money For Nothing Lyrics | 11 years ago |
good interpretation |
Soul Asylum – Black Gold Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Great song. It's about The Gulf War and race. I could provide an in-depth, line-by-line analysis and explanation of meaning, but I need to go to sleep |
Elbow – One Day Like This Lyrics | 11 years ago |

The Sisters of Mercy – Dominion/Mother Russia Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Indeed it is |
Atoms for Peace – Amok Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Best song on the album. The title song, too |
Atoms for Peace – Reverse Running Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Some of these lyrics are wrong. Somebody listen more closely and repost. The end of this song is awesome |
Atoms for Peace – Stuck Together Pieces Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I really like this song. One of my favorites on the album, along with "Before Your Very Eyes..." and "Amok". I can already tell that this is one of those albums that will get better the more you listen to it. Very often, it's the other way around. You will love an album upon purchasing and listening to it, but quickly grow sick and tired of it |
Atoms for Peace – Ingenue Lyrics | 11 years ago |
interesting interpretation |
Atoms for Peace – Before Your Very Eyes... Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Agree, but it's unclear what specifically the narrator is urging the listener to do. The chorus in this song is great, because it creates tension by leaving the audience hanging...Sooner or later/and before your very eyes. Sooner or later what? Before your very eyes what? We don't know |
Atoms for Peace – Before Your Very Eyes... Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Agree, but it's unclear what specifically the narrator is urging the listener to do. |
