| I noted it seems like two people in close proximity and the other found love - while she was still wanting it to turn into something more. “Still falling,” is a great way to describe it. “Under Your Fate” meaning his relationship with the other person and she can do nothing but wait and see what happens. Eyes turning into dust - watching it for a long while until the realization that it’s never going to happen - and the potential beautiful relationship she feels is possible has evaporated entirely until the strangers she sees as herself and him turns to dust. It’s an acceptance that her vision will never be. | |

I am looking at it as more literal. “A man in my shoes runs a light “ like a person who can’t believe that what had happened by running a light ( like a fatality in a wreck )did happen. All the papers lied ( speculation around the accident ). By falling over you ( fall from grace or societal view ). Angels fall like rain to take her soul from the wreckage. And Love, or forgiveness is impossible for she is dead ( all of heaven away ). Inside you the time moves and she don’t fade. Like you carry the memory of the person you killed and it never gets easier. It’s all like yesterday - the pain never dulls. A race is on ( to get her to a hospital ) and hearing her screaming for help as his engine dies. In a ( panicky scared sad angry ) mood for running away. Stars come down as she’s fading. And the fault can’t be placed elsewhere. All your talking supermen - EMT Fire Police take the time and get in the way of forgiveness. Ain’t it just like rain - once trapped outside it pours making everything worse. Arrested, socially wrecked, can’t stop seeing her. I understand the symbolic meaning but I can also feel the story as laid out. As I wrote the above - I was thinking she was in the other car but I’m considering that it makes more sense that she was next to him. It feels like that to me. |

| I recorded this song from the radio when I was a kid - I hoped the DJ would have spoke the Artist name or title but didn't and I didn't know for years who made on of my favorite songs. I finally heard it playing at Outback of all places. I hushed the whole restaurant until it was over. The waiter who made the mix CD came and gave it to me and finally I had it. The line, " drinking heavy water from a stone," Both biblical and scientific. Like Moses striking the stone to save his followers. But heavy water is a reference to the reactors responsible for enriching uranium and plutonium to weapons grade. I think it's about an accident leading to radiation contamination - and knowingly not calling in for fear of radiation escaping. That's what I felt was the message. | |

I had a girlfriend with chemical depression. The worst "Little Earthquakes". The smallest thing could blow her whole world apart - leaving her crying in a closet for days. There was nothing really wrong - but she'd be paralyzed with fear and sorrow. Finally, I was so terrified - I took her to a Doctor who put her on Anti-Depressants. Her moods leveled. She hated the numb feeling... along with the loss of true excitement. It made her hate me... and she decided to toss out the AD's. She wanted life raw again. Good and bad. Highs and desperate lows. When I hear this song " Give me life. Give me pain. Give me myself again." I can't help but wonder if it was about Anti-Depresants or other pills... and breaking from them. |
