The National – The Rains of Castamere Lyrics 10 years ago
Except if you're the Armies of the North, who were murdered by the traitor of gods and men for violating the guest right: Mercer Frey. After watching the GoT episode, I hope his death is slow and painful.

But yeah, one thing I noticed is the play on words. "But now the rains weep o'er his hall"--replace the word "rains" with "Reynes."

Nickelback – S.E.X. Lyrics 10 years ago
The album is great, and this is one of my favorite tracks from the album and Nickelback. Sorta like a semi-sequel to "Animals." This song (especially the instrumental bridge) really brings out the headbanging metalhead in me. Every song they release isn't gonna be "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Stairway to Heaven," plus there are hundreds of other songs about sex you can listen to if you don't like "S.E.X."

Metallica – Fuel Lyrics 11 years ago
This is actually one of my favorite Metallica songs. It's not typical thrash metal, but Load and ReLoad were more rock and blues influenced. This song is about going fast and is a great headbanging song.
Every band has tried to do something different. I mean, fans backlashed when "Fade to Black" opened with acoustic guitar; now, it's one of Metallica's best songs.

Metallica – Leper Messiah Lyrics 11 years ago
I agree that man has corrupted most of Christianity, but it's not the case for some individual churches. I am a Christian, and I believe I'm no better than those who don't know Christ as his/her Savior because I was once a sinner who still struggles with that part every day. I believe that Jesus didn't want it to be like the Catholic church: where one man or some oligarchial committee says what churches can or can't do. He wanted each congregation to be independent from other churches or union of churches, headed only by Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Anyway, I still like this song (actually, it's my least-favorite from Master of Puppets not because of its supposed anti-Christian message, but more for its slower pace after the always-awesome "Disposable Heroes," my second favorite track from MoP) because they've always had some sort of religious song at least once in each of their early albums ("Jump in the Fire," "Creeping Death," "Leper Messiah," "The God That Failed).

Metallica – Creeping Death Lyrics 11 years ago
While "Creeping Death" is mainly about the death of the firstborn in Egypt and how the Israelites' firstborn were spared by God with lamb's blood on the lintel and doorposts, they were not tormented by Egypt for 400 years. They lived in Egypt for 435 years, after their ancestor Joseph gave his father Jacob and his brothers a home in Goshen.
And there is some major influence I noticed from "The Ten Commandments." Some of the plauges are mentioned (turning the water in Egypt into blood, darkness for three days, hail and fire, boils).
PS "The Prince of Egypt" was NOT a Disney movie. It was made by Dreamworks.
