I think the 1st stanza is from the perspective of the girl who has hurt him. So when it says "fell in love with a boy" it means she fell in love with him and then "grew tired of him". I think the song is about a girl who leaves him to travel the world while he is left at home- hence "And I'm still here" and I think the line "Did someone mention the weather" is a about how he's sick of staying in Britain and people just talking about the weather. |
