When the angel says, "How dare you defy your father/You better let Isaac go" it means that the nameless daughter has no right to interfere in her father's (and God's) affairs, even to save Isaac's life. The Biblical story turns out well because God saves Isaac. The daughter, had she fired here arrow, would have interfered with God's plan. |
