The song is written about the front man's (Jon Fratelli) wife who is a burlesque dancer. Her stage name is Chelsea and so this is used in the song name, the Dagger part is an attempt at word play; Chelsea DAGGER - Britney SPEARS. It might not be a good attempt but this is how the band have explained the song name and meaning. The word some seem confused about is "Blagger". A blagger is an endearing term for someone who can talk themselves into/out of any situation. They are cheeky chappy swindelers opposed to out right thieves. |
