This song isn't simply Pink heading to a new town and indulging in sex with some random groupie. The album tells a story, and at this point Pink is trying to fill in the "empty space" left behind from his wife leaving him(note the phone call where his wife is with another man) This technique proves ineffective as shown in the next song "One of my turns" |

Thanks for the amazing explanation. I am terrible at deciphering lyrics and I had no clue what this song was about before reading your interpretation, but for some reason the emotions the song brought out greatly reflected the meaning of the lyrics. It's funny how the meaning of the song can be there without the words. |

Only "unlike any you have seen" if you haven't SEEN(not only heard) Pink Floyd's "The Wall." this album so strongly resembles wall from the message and theme to the Orwell 1984 references. If you enjoy this i would suggest you listen to "The Wall" |

I also see many parallels such as the orwell and brave new world references. Pink Floyd's album "The Wall" does the same and both albums seem to really have the same message. |

If you're interested in literature then I would suggest reading "The Yellow Wallpaper" It is about a schizophrenic who seems to be in the same situation as the girl in the song(in my opinion) |
