i love this song. i found a quote about what he thinks about the song: 'it's like the end of the day where you feel nothing has been achieved and you're in a hurry to get the day over with so you can start the next one. You tell yourself you're going to do lots of positive things. But the next day is just like the one before. Sometimes it goes on for weeks.' |

I agree! People, this is one of the greatest songs on the album. I can't listen to it without getting choked up. I just hope I never get in a situation where I can 'relate' to what he's saying. That would be a very depressing time... |

I agree that this song deals with heroin and drug use. It's kind of Bono's plea to his friend (or whoever) that there is another way to deal with their pain. let it go, and just fade away. :) |
