the first part is talking about the garden of eden which is where the devil/ sin came into the world.
then i saw the heavens opened and behold, a white horse! the one sitting on it is called faithful and true and in ritiousness he judges and makes war. his eyes are like a flame of fire and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. he is clothed in a robe sprinkled in blood, and the name by which he is called is the word of god. and the armies of heaven, arrayed in white linen, fine and pure, were following him on white horses. from his mouth came a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. he will tread the winepress of the fury of god the almighty. on his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, king of king and lord of lords.

this is when the battle at armageddon starts and is just before the devil is thrown into the lake of sulfur forever. after this is judgement day and then living happily ever after
therefore the song focuses on the basic beginning and end of the humans time as mortal sinners. why i don't know. |

i think it's about showing people what is really going on. while most of the world is sleeping they know what is happenig so they are awake to the issue. they are trying to illuminate it or show the others what it really is because they don't understand and are saying they are hell bent heathens. |

well it seems to be about someone walking alone through life. they either can't or don't wish to find someone to relate to and are lonely. sometimes it is a good kind of lonely and sometimes it feels like it would just be great to have someone there with you but that isn't how it is. the song seems like a statement of the facts just looking back on things so far and stating them how they are. i fell instantly in love with this song years ago and i just heard it playing on the radio so i was reminded how good it is. |

this song is about a girl who gets leukemia after the bombing of hiroshima. she dies and her friends and family fold 1,000 cranes to make the pain go away. the meaning here seems clear but the underlying message is one that we should have peace and the song pretty much is trying to get you to think about what happens when you drop an atom bomb. it isn't pretty. |
