Another disclaimer: this song means nothing personal to me. I heard it today (first time). I didn't think I cared too much for the band until this song played over the radio. It's wonderful. I foresee it getting more air time. Obviously about a fearful guy/girl who is in love and promises that he'll stay (in spite of his fears) rather than leave ("drive by"). So impressed with the sound of this song... |

First the disclaimer: this song means nothing personal to me or to my life. I heard it for the very first time while on a trip last week. And I fell in love with it. The vocals; tempo; lyrics; etc were just perfect. It's been interpreted well enough so it doesn't need yet another voice. Very impressive song; I am anxious to hear more from the artist. |

My favorite of F.S. songs. It's hauntingly beautiful with such bittersweet sentiment. I did not discover (enjoy, really) Frank's music until my 40's, although I grew up watching him and Dean (and their musical friends) on television. Those were the days when you sat around the television set with your family after a meal at the table, and was blessed with the likes of the talented musicians of that decade. It was a time of sweet naivety and innocence, which made Sinatra and the like seem like kings. |

I don't think the song is very complicated. I think it's about a guy or girl who knows that s/he is going to sin in some way. There appears to be some internal struggle, but from the lyrics I believe s/he feels s/he will cave. Good song. Expected ending. No biggie. |

This song could be an anthem for all those who are too scared to trust others; who don't feel they are good enough for others to truly care for them and about them; and for those who want to continue keeping others at arm's length. They friggin' keep getting the same ugly results year after year, but they're too stubborn to admit it. Ugh. |
