Radiohead – How to Disappear Completely Lyrics

Thom said an in interview that this was one of the only songs he really wrote for kid a. Almost all the others were basically drawn from a hat and pieced together cause of writers block. Just piecing together what was in his mind, otherwise he said he would of just thrown what he wrote away. He goes on to say this song was the mantra for the time during the ok computer touring when they were touring themselves stupid and on the verge of breaking up (thank god that didnt happen). And it makes a lot of sense when you look at it this way, they were being bled dry by the media and having their arms twisted. I get a lot of anger from this song, but also a sadness. sad that this is the way the world is but angry that there's nothing you can really do about it except put yourself somewhere else in your own head. It sounds like he is trying to convince himself that he's not here. In the beginning it sounds like it's working for him, it isn't so bad, but the more it carries on the more difficult it is to keep this state of mind. |

I swear the first chorus or at least the first time I listened to this album, I could of sworn he said "an interesting appliance, im back to save the airbag." then after that "an interstellar blast, im back to save the universe." But thats just me. I swear they do that on purpose to mess with your head, cause Thom Yorke sucks at enunciating. |

And Thom Yorke has said to be inspired by his dreams. And dreams are a result of the natural occurring drug DMT. And It's true ^ alcohol is drug. Ed also says he likes pot. But, who doesn't enjoy a good toke now and then. |

Also, yorke has only dedicated two pieces of Radiohead's work; Amnesiac, to his son. Along with Phil Selway dedicating to his son. And The Eraser, which he dedicated to his daughter. As yorke himself has said before, "you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking". |

Thom Yorke has a long term partner. They aren't officially married, but thom wears a ring on his left ring finger. And he also has two children. I honestly don't think this song is about some girl yorke wants to "fuck" sorry to be blunt. Wanting the moon upon a stick is an idiom of sorts referring to wanting something that you can never have. Which is being human. Sorry to go off like this, but i could not let your trivializing of this song go by without me putting in my two cents. |

Radiohead – Where I End and You Begin. (The Sky Is Falling In.) Lyrics

Inner conflict fore sure. Who you tell yourself you are and who you actually are, and are still becoming. To have context to Hail to the Thief as a whole, what a cultural society deems the truth and an individuals personal truth. The American Dream and ones own dream. Also, in the proceeding song, We Suck Young Blood, Thom seems to go further into this idea with lines like, "are you fracturing?" "are you torn at the seams?" Very good stuff. |
