Bon Iver – Skinny Love Lyrics | 12 years ago |
How do you ever have time to write between fucks ;) Shut up, will ya. It's a song about a love that never existed. One that died before it began. One that needs to be put on the curb and taken away with the other trash. How many words was that, asshole? |
Bowling for Soup – A Friendly Goodbye Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree. It's just about a guy who's a piece of shit that you wanna flush down the toilet and hope it doesn't spring up on somebody else's lawn to poison the plant life. |
Bowling for Soup – A Friendly Goodbye Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Heard it for the first time today and loved it. Had never heard of the band, though. |
Velvet Revolver – Slither Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Shit. Even back in 2007 you could put me to sleep. Should have clued me in back then so I wouldn't be here today. |
Velvet Revolver – Slither Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The only thing you pray for is a piece of ass...and one that will stick around awhile. Ass. |
Nina Simone – My Baby Just Cares For Me Lyrics | 12 years ago |
From Wiki: "My Baby Just Cares for Me" is a jazz standard written by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by Gus Kahn. It was written for the 1930 film version of the 1928 Ziegfeld musical comedy Whoopee!, starring Eddie Cantor. It is known as the signature tune of singer and pianist Nina Simone." |
Nina Simone – Be My Husband Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I love her and this song, but the thought of marriage is rather disturbing! |

Nina Simone – Go To Hell Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Love the artist. The song was obviously written back in a time when more people were Christian (practicing as well) and God actually mattered. I love the old southern black spirituals because they were filled with fire and brimstone, which makes for exciting music...lots of heart and soul pumped into them. Nina is perhaps the closest one can get to that kind of musician. |
Crystal Castles – Celestica Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"We descended from no one" is not anti-Christian. It'sactually a tenet of the Catholic church and a direct Biblical reference".... I like what you wrote with the exception of this falsehood. The Catholic church (a sec of Christianity) does not have a tenet that says man descended from no one. Man descended from Adam. (Catholics have not rejected evolution; rather, have worked it in to encompass creationism. And with that said, Catholics are individuals just as atheists are, and being human each will have a difference of opinion/interpretation.). Bottom line, though....your "tenet of the Catholic church" is utterly FALSE. This Catholic is 100% positive on that:) |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
No, it's not. Reminds me of the saying about actions having more meaning than words. Very true. Goodnight. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Didn't get HER way, not "their" way (among other problems with your consistently horrible sentences). And I am not INCORRECT. Basket weaving was not a legitimate major in high school; someone lied to you. GOODNIGHT. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Bella, let's be HONEST. You have a variety of songs to listen to tomorrow night and many nights to COME...Kings of Leon; AC/DC; etc. There is no 'longing" so it is not much fun at all for me. In your world, I am not only dull, but quite "ordinary." |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Soy is for wussies. Don't choke on them. Then again... And since I'm going to bed and could die in my sleep, I won't end by calling you an 'ass" even though you are an ass. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Cripes, read my response to you above; now I'm acting as stoopid as you! Ass. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
No, ASS. If someone else had posted a REAL journal entry, I would not have continued to post. I responded to every one of your blank pieces of sh*t, that's all. Again, you are one dull tool in the shed.... Trust me, you wouldn't want me smacking anything of yours. You wouldn't be walking for days. ASS |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I don't want a brother. I don't want a sister. My feet get cold at night. And Mr. Ass is the last thing anyone needs. He'd leave me hungry ;) |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The perverted saying, "I want a meal, not a snack" comes to mind. No, ASS, if anyone had posted a REAL journal entry I would not have posted over them. Hence, that's where we're different (and one of the ways you're an ASS). Have I said "ass" enough times? |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
That would be "retarTed." LOL |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
For gawd's sake, spell YOU'RE correctly before calling ME "retarded." Ass. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You're an ass. All my "journals" were messages to you to stop posting private journals that blocked good writing. You don't allow for comments on your journals (which are PRIVATE). Therefore, the ONLY journals mine disrupted were your PRIVATE ones. Get with the program....Ass. Sorry, but the word Ass keeps coming to the forefront and I can't seem to stop myself from calling you it. Ass. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
One cannot 'trumph" a private journal. And, yes, you do like to be mean. And, yes, you do like to be insulting. I'm a little shocked at your restrait; you didn't use the word "fat" or "boring." I'll shut it: goodnight. |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm crying now that I've learned that everybody wants to rule the world |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Hey, I have boring journals. But YOU post over journals belonging to others that are actually quite good. There's no bigger crime than posting NOTHING (ie. your private journals) over good prose/poetry. You should be hung upside down by your toenails for that crime! And "on board" "flighty" was one of your better ones. In fact, it's the only good one you've ever had:) |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I do believe you called me a dog. (I've heard worse...and called YOU must worse, so I suppose we're even:) |
Okkervil River – Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"THanks again, I don't think I could live with your knowledge:)"...I'm guessin' he mistyped. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's kind of cute so we keep him around:) |
Alison Krauss – Take Me For Longing Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Hello. In what century were you born? People don't wait until their marriage day to have their first kiss ;) Then again, there are still arranged marriages. As for bear hugs for friends, that falls into that non-longing role. It's not a fun role. |
Alison Krauss – Take Me For Longing Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I do believe that would fall under 'sexuality.' I can't imagine sex without hugs and kisses, although I'm not sure I even recall what sex is now that I think about it :( Gee, thanks for having me think about something I had worked hard to forget. And what's a fake hug? Forget it....I know; my former inlaw used to always kiss me on the cheek while patting my back. |
Alison Krauss – Take Me For Longing Lyrics | 12 years ago |
This is one of my favorites of hers and she has impressed me musically with quite a few tracks. This song makes me think of Coming Down by The Weeknd and My Boots by Lights. It's especially about not wishing to be used; rather, to be appreciated and desired and loved for who she is not for what she can do (or does) for another. Being a buddy or nurse or nanny or mother or confidant is not the role that flatters her. Many women are nurturers by nature (some of us feel both blessed and cursed with our comfort in using the title to describe ourselves), but most wish to be viewed as women first and foremost...that means we want to be loved/appreciated for our personalities; our looks (some of us have good looks and some of us do not, but we get by); our sexuality; etc. Alison's song, I believe, speaks for many women... |
Eagles – You Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Dang, I put this in the wrong place :( |
Eagles – You Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Yes, there are many 60 yr olds who are very active and probably have interesting musical libraries as well; according to Mom when the flag drops to half mast the women can be seen scurrying across the trailer park carrying casseroles to the new widower ;) |
Eagles – You Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
LOL...60? Not with your musical library, Sexy ;) |
Eagles – You Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's as full as it has been for a very long time. Really nothing's changed. And it also looks brighter once spring arrives; it will feel full then. The age 60 invite's still on the table if for some reason rice hasn't been tossed. (Oh, I believe they use birdseed now as it's much kinder on our feathered friends:) |
Eagles – You Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree, and it is also a great old band:) Some people have someone beside them and for some reason they feel alone. They are with a significant other; family; and good friends, which means nothing has changed in their lives. It also means they are NOT alone. They need to change how they view their glass. It looks full from here. |
John Mayer – Your Body Is A Wonderland Lyrics | 12 years ago |
At least it's not about a pickup. It's about a girlfriend. And it's good that he cares about her. He doens't have to have a 'little pecker." He may be very well endowed and she may be very happy with him. Together they have a slice of paradise, which happens to be a very good song by a different artist:) This song beats Sex is On Fire, which has been so overplayed on the radio that I can no longer listen to anything from the band. |
Deftones – Sextape Lyrics | 12 years ago |
That's it ! Thanks for sharing with me. |
