Also, the apple is widely considered to be the fruit that Eve committed the FIRST sin with. Premarital sex is often seen as a sin, and I think the song implies that the person was a virgin and greatly regretted giving it up to the person they did. "and I know I gave it to you months ago I know you're trying to forget." As the story goes, Eve regretted her first sin (as it was said to have caused a multitude of problems for her and everyone after her..) Anyways, that's what I think the apple is all about. : ) |
