Thom is very political and could be taking a stand: "the pot" "chopper" could also be refering to Murdoch and the illuminati:Power,Lies and Corruption (title of a New Order album);). I personally, grew up in the 80's, and if we want a better future for our children we need to take a stand: "A NEW ORDER" so to speak. The romantic in me and what I am going through personally really enjoy lululee's take on the song. :) I also agree with Crane42. Great comments guys! |

| When I was in Tallahassee,the album "10" came out. "Jeremy" was my brother seeking attention from both of my parents, especially my father. I was "Daughter"....even though it contributed to me having a nervous breakdown...It will ALWAYS be one of my favorite ALBUMS EVER!! Thank you PEARL JAM!! <3 (no wonder I majored in Psychology). Wanted to fix the dysfunction in my family. I am a HUGE ADVOCATE for children! | |

| I completely agree with Circusjuggler..it's about breaking chains of love. Because healthy love should not make you feel "chained". It's about breaking bad cycles,so future generations can have healthy relationships. I was a huge Erasure fan in Jr. High/Highschool. PARENTS listen to the LYRICS of the songs your children are listening to0!! I am a HUGE ADVOCATE for children...and FIRMLY BELIEVE music and art can be used as therapy to help children cope with the dysfunction that is in their home! :) | |
