I can relate to every single thing you just said, although I'm not sure if I really have ADD. Great interpretation! |

Yeah, it reminded me of Pink Floyd's "Take It Back". I'm with you on this one. |

True that. We have to pay more attention to the present, indeed. |
Pink Floyd – High Hopes Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Yes, yes, yes! So happy to see more Floyd fans connecting it to that amazing book. |

I didn't even read it all, but I don't need to. By reading only a few lines, I can see that we think alike and that it has some sort of reference from The Truth Contest. Or am I wrong? Anyway, great interpretation, I think it fits very well with the whole Publius Enigma thing. Wish I had more to add, but today is not a very good day for me to concentrate, unfortunately. Someday I will... PS: Not a native english speaker, so sorry for bad grammar or anything like that. |

Agree with @Cahklon, but for more accurate interpretation, I think everyone should visit truthcontest.com |
Pink Floyd – Yet Another Movie Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Rick: You're getting on that plane with Victor where you belong. Ilsa: But, Richard, no, I–! Rick: Now you've got to listen to me! You have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here? Nine chances out of ten we'd both wind up in a concentration camp, isn't that true, Louie? Louie: I'm afraid Major Strasser will insist. Ilsa: You're saying this only to make me go. Rick: I'm saying it because it's true. Inside of us, we both know you belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, for the rest of your life. Ilsa: But what about us? (echoed) Certainly one of the stand-out tracks from the album, Yet Another Movie features a sound bite from the film Casablanca at the end, and the lyric 'a vision of an empty bed,' which was the inspiration for the cover. Dave Gilmour: "It's hard to explain Yet Another Movie. It's a more surrealistic effort than anything I've attempted to do before. I've tended to stick within personal experience and reality very much; but I have a desire, without getting into fiction and little stories about other people (which I generally don't care for), to find a broader base to write things about - and that's an attempt to do that. I'm very fond of it, but I don't even know what all of it means myself!" [TAP 53] Nick Mason: "It's one of my favorites on the album, I think just because of the way it was recorded. It was an unforgettable occasion: this enormous studio with more drums than I've ever seen in my whole life. We had Jim Keltner's kit, my kit, Steve Forman the percussion player with all his stuff, and two of these people known as 'drum doctors' who are ultra-specialist drum people. They set the drums up, tune them and so on – bring you seven snare drums and say 'Which one do you think you would like to use for this?' Just the power and the sound of all that air being moved by these drums... real 'drum city' in there that day! In the past, we've used musicians other than the group, even if they haven't always been credited: it doesn't mean that I'm not playing on all the tracks. On Yet Another Movie, all three of us played together – the percussionist, Jim Keltner and me. We drummed in unison but, at other times, I kept the rhythm whilst the others played fills. It's a different approach which benefits the music." [TAP 53] |

Is it possible that this song is about Aspergers Syndrome or something related? I think it is. |

Nice to know about that, I always thought it was Frank. |

That's genius! How didn't I think of that? I have Sleep Paralysis very often, and I can relate to what you just said. |

Third Eye Blind – Darwin Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Well, there's a part after the "It's a long night..." that says "When the plane takes of you'll know it." Any thoughts on that? |
