The Moody Blues – Melancholy Man Lyrics 1 year ago
@[AldinTheMad:43668] I hope you are much better now than in 2007. Depression sucks. I know a little about it. Yes, there's still some hope, as you and Pinder say. Listen to Jenny Lewis is "Head Underwater" for some more positivity amongst mayhem. Take care.

John Mellencamp – Beige to Beige Lyrics 2 years ago
@[gustavodnt:42032] Good point. I wondered if John was also referring to record companies pressuring him to be the same ol' same ol". Pigeonholing him as the guy who keeps singing different versions of Jack and Diane and Pink Houses, which of course, to his credit, he wasn't going to do.

The Beatles – All Things Must Pass Lyrics 12 years ago
I love the song and have for years. For some reason, a few years ago, I paid more attention to the lyrics and heard a breakup song in which George is trying to console the lover he is leaving, and comes across as a pompous ass in the process. I mean...listen again: "it seems my love is up and must be leaving, it's not always going to be this grey." Some consolation, I'm thinking. This interpetation ruins my previous view of the transcendent nature of the song, and it bothers me. I need someone to straighten me out here, because I would like to be wrong and return to enjoying the song completely as I once did. Thank you.
