Streuth .. its like an intj convention in here. What if the song is just a simple dialogue about parting and transmutation. Lotus = rooted in earth(regret/guilt/mistakes/pain..) connected through the medium of water (sex/spirituality) to its bloom (transfiguration/purity/awakening/rebirth..). Its hardly ts elliot, and its sad to deconstruct such a beautiful song that can be construed in many ways, line by line. Its the capacity to inspire internalisation so beautifully voiced by PilgrimSantiago that elevates this song as an art form. Thom if ever you actually read this forum, get your people to speak to Pilgrims people, she has just transfigured your lyrics into art, and history may now one day forgive you for your moaning/wheedling singing-style. Btw, musically both dollars & cents & pyramid blow this song away... |
