U2 – One Lyrics 12 years ago
Not every song is about romantic relationships between two people. I think "One" is about a much bigger picture than that. "One" has a world peace, and caring for your fellow man vibe to it.

Metallica – One Lyrics 12 years ago
"One" is about traumatic brain injuries from war. Being trapping in ones body, not being able to do anything buy lay there and think. It is a terrifying thought.

Band of Horses – The Funeral Lyrics 12 years ago
"The Funeral" Has lyrics that seem straight forward to me. We all believe that we will live to be old. We might know that isn't true in the back of our minds but most people still live their lives that way. When really, we can die at any time, at any occasion. So we should be ready for the funeral.

Massive Attack – Live With Me (feat. Terry Callier) Lyrics 12 years ago
The song sounds like the narrator is concerned about someone they care about. Someone who is putting their self in harms way. The Narrator believes that if they are together, he can protect them.

Bruce Springsteen – Born in the U.S.A. Lyrics 12 years ago
"Born in the USA" is about the blind nationalism that led 58,000 Americans to their deaths, and thousands more to mental, and physical ruin. All the while ignoring the problems we had, and still have at home. Most of the U.S. is small dead man towns. Those young guys back in the Vietnam era, were grabbed from their nowhere towns, and used as cannon fodder to go die, or be injured in a worthless war. The ones who came home in one piece were turned away from jobs, ignored by the Veterans association, betrayed by the very people they sacrificed everything for.

Bruce Springsteen – Dancing In The Dark Lyrics 12 years ago
Its about a guy who works the midnight shift. He is afraid of getting older, and having only worked a J.O.B. There is this big world out there and he doesn't feel like he is a part of it. He isn't sure what he really wants to do to change it. The monotonous shift work is making one day blur into the next, and the narrator fells like he is wasting his life. Even if he had a definite answer for what he wants, and how do get it, he is afraid to make the spark, that starts the fire to change his situation. Because it might tear his little routine world apart.
