The Strokes – Machu Picchu Lyrics | 8 years ago |
As others have said, I believe the song is about prostitution. But that's not all, right? It's about the idea of being a prostitute's savior. Saving this girl who's had a terrible childhood. Abused by her parents who believed she could never be good enough. Molested by her uncle because she was an easy target that no one would care about. It's about true love right. A very Strokes theme /sarcasm. No seriously though. It's a fantasy about saving a prostitute from her shitty life. |

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Scar Tissue Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"With the birds" so obviously makes it about drugs, though. Being up there, flying with the birds, high, like so high. |
Them Crooked Vultures – New Fang Lyrics | 10 years ago |

Kings of Leon – Don't Matter Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"You could bleed stain my seed" First thing I thought when I heard this was sex with a girl who's on her period lol |
Kings of Leon – The Runner Lyrics | 11 years ago |
"Hard times as we go We know what times will change I talked to Jesus Jesus says I'm okay" This could be like someone being dismissive of someone who's going through a hard time. Like you say to someone like a family member or "Jesus" or what have you: "Yo, I'm hurting" and they just say "dude, quit complaining, you're fine" |
Kings of Leon – Charmer Lyrics | 11 years ago |
The screams are epic. They make the song. |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Otherside Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I know that this is from 10 years ago... But nobody said they were gay. |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Parallel Universe Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's spelled "heroin" There's no e on the end, heroine means a female hero. This is really getting on my nerves. |
Alice Mudgarden – Right Turn (AIC Cover) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm pretty sure the first two lines are sang by Jerry Cantrell. |
Soundgarden – Birth Ritual Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think it's about sex and abortion. The first verse is obviously about sex. I don't really get the second verse. But thhe last line. "Marked for the death ritual" Means that an unborn baby has been marked to be aborted. "As you start the song and face this garden." These lines are about a pregnant girl getting prepared to have an abortion. "I light a cigarette before the execution." The dude waits outside, and has a cigarette (obviously), but the important part is the "execution" of the unborn baby. "Now you see your crime, for every miracle" Every time the girl or guy sees a baby ("miracle") they think of what might have been if the baby hadn't been aborted. And reflect on the "crime" of having a baby aborted (or a person killed). "Add another drug at every birth ritual" I'm not too knowledgable about abortions, having never know anyone who's had one. But I think it's done with a drug? I don't know, if it's not, this could be about the morning after pill, or just your standard birth control pills. But yeah, the "birth ritual" refers to sex. So, put plainly it says: Add another birth control pill/morning after pill/abortion every time someone has sex. It doesn't really make sense with abortion, seeing as you wouldn't have an abortion every time you had sex, so maybe the song is about birth control drugs in general. Idk. The third verse is about sex again, I think. "I took the drug to make me stay" About viagra. Need I say more? "And now everything dies in shyness" Idk, brain dead atm. "The snake retreats, admits defeat" It's all finished up and he's lost his erection. "And waits for the birth ritual" I think "birth ritual" has a different meaning here. Idk what though. After this I think the song may be about several things. 1 -Drugs to do with sex: viagra, BCP's, morning after pills. 2 -Abortion 3 -Some other third thing I have failed to see. |

Alice in Chains – Junkhead Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Angry Chair was about either Layne's or Jerry's dad. (I can't remember which one, but I think it was Layne's) When he was a naughty boy his dad would tell him to go it on the "Angry Chair,". |
Audioslave – The Last Remaining Light Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I could be wrong. But I believe the first line is "Warm me on your frozen fields." The whole irony thing, you know. (Just like the third line: "Drown me in your thirsty veins,") Despite it being paradoxical, I still beleive it makes more sense that "Roll me on your frozen fields," I just don't understand that line. I don't have the cd, so I don't know if it has the lyrics in the book or anything. Anyone else agree with me? |
The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I don't know if you've ever noticed but a bass guitar ain't that different to a normal guitar. Jack White played both the bass and the guitar in the recorded version. When they play it live Jack just plays the bass part on a guitar without effects so that the bass part is just an octave higher than in the recording. |
Kyuss – Catamaran (Yawning Man cover) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
