If you guys would read "Dream Brother", you'd know. It's stated in this book that Jeff told Rebecca Moore (his on-off gf) that this song was about a dream he had in which a black woman was seen shooting heroin between her toes. |

Wow, I think you've read way too much into this. Way too much. I think the "Dream Brother" biography states that Jeff said the song was partly about a dream he had in which he saw a black woman shooting heroin between her toes. I think it's obvious that the other part is about his relationship with Rebecca Moore. The "black ribbons of coal", in regards to hair, is about her. This song was written during their tumultuous relationship. |

Makes perfect sense to me. I've read Fear of Flying and I think Brandon was definitely inspired by the book. I don't think this has anything to do with a baby or a lesbian couple. SMH. Very imaginative though. |
