i wish people who said things like this would think for a second about the potential ramifications of these actions. if the government has the right to ban alcohol, it can ban ban anything it claims detrimental to society. like opposition parties or free speech, for example.
i'm not saying that freedom is necessarily greater than safety and security, but these things need to be thought about.
