Wow some of you are stupid. Jame's mother did not die when he was 11, its not about numerology, human sacrifice??? THIS SONG IS NOT EVEN ON LATERALUS, IT IS ON AENEMA. It has nothing to do with sequences in drum beats or guitar notes. His mother became paralyzed when he was 11 years old. I'm also assuming he was called Jimmy by his mother perhaps. He then had to go live with his dad. When he was old enough he went home to see his mother. (This could be after Tool was formed, I don't know). He is reflecting on how this turmoil has changed him and made him into the person he is today. Thank you. It's Tool....enough said.

I think this song is about life and change. To embrace change and to not avoid it or hate it, no one likes it but to just become on better terms with it. Make your choices and you can always sit back and see how it is that's the great thing about it!

As of most Tool songs this one is open to interpretation. But to me this song explains as "black and white" as a religion. And as he gave up the religion he could see "red and yellow". Now he realizes that to evolve, religion is useless. And what he can accomplish without this burden of a religion is endless. Basically he is saying do what you do, and don't let your "religion" hold you back because the opprotunities are endless. But again, this is open to interpretation.

This song is obviously about his mother who died. The artist is talking about how his mom believed in God. And she never got anything out of it, "he did it all for you". is a way of sarcasim, and this song is a way to say fuck you god for what you did to me and my mother. That is why Maynard does not play this song in concert because it is hard for him. Thank you

Foo Fighters – Walk Lyrics

If you watch the music video, this song shows how rude people are, and how people think they have to show all of their personal lives. Basically all the things the singer sees that bothers him etc. I think the Foo Fighters wrote this song because they remember how good things used to be in the "good old days". Like for instance the video points out how misrepresented our fast food is, it shows a good looking burger, and all you get is buns, pretty much. Just watch the video, its actually pretty funny. :)
