Damien Rice – Lonelily Lyrics 13 years ago
She cheated on him, but he cheated on her. It's like what *its delicate* said. It's about trying to forgive each other. He wants to forgive and forget what they both did. It's not just what she did, it's about the fact that he was unfaithful too. In the chorus, he addresses what she did in the way he keeps repeating "You're coming home, and I'm trying to forget," but he also addresses what he did when he says "and you haven't called yet." He's worried that neither one will be able to forgive the other.

Despite being about infidelity, I don't think this is a sad song. It's not about wallowing in the hurt and regret, it's about trying to push past the pain and regret, and trying to remember how much they love each other.

Damien Rice – Woman Like a Man Lyrics 13 years ago
This song took me a few listens to warm up to. At first, I was offended by it, but then once I accepted the language, it became one of my absolute favorites.

This song is the most raw, powerful songs I have ever heard. It entirely captures deep emotions in every word.
To me, it's about feeling restless, pumping adrenaline, wanting to scream, rum, just go crazy. Not even about being angry, just feeling purely animal, restless, instinctual. Having to much alcohol, or fire, or adrenaline in your veins to calm down. It's about wanting to stop thinking and just let go.

Damien Rice is the only artist I've ever heard who can capture so much emotion is just the the tone of his voice. And combined with Lisa, it's just absolutely stunning.

Damien Rice – Dogs Lyrics 13 years ago
I could be totally wrong, but when I hear this song, I think that it's about this woman who he knows, and she just seems so perfect to him. She's care-free, strong, beautiful, a completely free spirit. He's in love with her, but he thinks she only thinks of him as a friend "and she gives i get without giving anything to me".

Then, the second stanza, where Lisa joins him singing, I think it's just her perspective on him, just talking about him. And the part about the dogs is her thinking about how dogs are free when they run, and she tries to be free like that.

The third stanza is him saying again how perfect and free and amazing she is.

The final stanza, when his voice goes all sad and quiet, is him talking about how she doesn't need him. She's entirely free and doesn't need anyone, and either way, she already has a man in her life.

~But basically, I think the point of the song is just him describing how he views this amazing woman.~
Beautiful song.
