The lyrics as listed make sense but they dont match the sounds she makes in the song. Though in concert Sunday night my friend who was stage front heard Claire has a lisp but you couldnt hear one 30 feet back where I was standing. In an interview she said she gets really nervous so that could have been the change in voice that came across as a lisp. She also baby talks for different song lines which can sound lisp like. This is as I hear it. Help/change/add please if anyone else also hears different than the lyrics as written above. Grimes-Vanessa lyrics I've been.. In Claire's own words, she makes the beats and sounds, most specifically ah or ooh sounds when writing and then she constructs the vocals around that. |
