I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. It was pitch dark. It was so calming. I could feel myself relaxing, my mind easing. It cradles you and you feel content. You start to reflect on the things going on in your mind, without dwelling. Just reflecting. The music moves you forward. I thought of feeling alone. Then as the the sound grew, my thoughts were lifted and moved towards the present. I thought of the people and love in my life. And suddenly, I was completely vulnerable without fear. And I thought to myself, "This is love." In it's purset form. I cried. It was an absolutely perfect moment. I laughed, apologized to my friend for crying. But truth was, I couldn't help it. Because in that moment I had never felt so complete. I feel that same sense of ease everytime I hear it now. |
