| I read a post about suicide, but, yes, it can fit into that category as well, because it has the same metaphorical basis. Darkness, conservatism, and suicide are often times known for their negative terms--sarcastic portrayals of today's world. Tie conservatism and suicide together, and you will find a mass of individuals who reach their own 'apocalyptic eyes.' An interpretation can be wrong directly, but can be right through symbolism if you search through it all the way. That is another reason direct interpretation is not always the most accurate way to go in deciphering the meaning within a track. | |

I think this song is a sarcastic portrayal on the worldly problems both literally and metaphorically. First of all, the term 'well thought out twinkles' is brighter in context, but is definitely dark if you think about the 'darker twinkles' in relation to the signs passing through time. How they are figments of unexpected signs happening all at once, a reason I would like to know more about the religious background behind this track. I think of the stars dying with various signs, even though they are not dying when they are signifying their own death--they are, just not there yet. Twinkling into their own death, tinkering with storms and tsunamis until those who laugh start to detest this world. Join in the last faction for peace, because, in actuality, there will be no more peace when signs twinkle their way into the stars' death. The world is a signal marred by conservatism, fascism, prejudices, nepotism, and other atrocities that veil human nature--another part sarcastically displayed under 'well thought out twinkles.' We are not actually 'twinkling,' because our actions seem like spawn absorbed into the devil himself (if one chooses to believe). I hear something strangely sarcastic, scientific, intuitive, although idealism-based and anti-evolutionary theory. I could be wrong though. The 'light' is for everybody, because the anxiety thrusts into various people's mindsets when there is nothing left to follow, for the 'death' is too early to follow with anything useful. This is my interpretation on the song 'Well-Thought Out Twinkles' even if it is wrong from the band's perspective. |

Now: I feel this song is about being repressed into a specific educational system. Without a definition for yourself, you are part of the 'Monday Heads' who feel as if you should go hide from yourself while suppressing those idealistic values in order to find nostalgia and an 'almost-plate' of happiness on Sunday. This will do without the educational systems forcing beliefs down your throat in order to gain status for yourself at least by committing crimes to have people feel sorry for you. They won't, however, and it will come down to the end without the connection. There is a slight connection with the foals in their stead being kind of leery in relation to Nemarca. They will follow in their footsteps as the ones who want to be in the right stead in relation (again, I know) to the students. |

Personally, I feel that this song is about the thrill and the calmness of walking a line with the person you are deeply in love with. However, deep within, she realizes the people who would know about this secret relationship so she wants him to hold her both literally and metaphorically and dry her eyes so she won't know of all of these turmoils she had with past friendships. Maybe she lost a friend due to a relationship-related problem, but this wouldn't encounter her as a person today except for the fact that she wanted to be with him--she was looking for her friend as she said in the song and found you...instead of her. Maybe the friend is him but that is besides the point. It's about the thrills and fervor of love that create their deep entanglement more meaningful than the tears she cries--- As for the tears, I also get a feeling of crying for him as if she was sad, but her mind is tripped out by the fact that the tears are representations of those feelings so he tries to wipe them away to protect her so she will not drown in those tears and only in him. If she cries, it will be for him to protect her throughout the darkness. I think it is more of a protection song than a self-tumultuous song. It really isn't a raucous song. It isn't vehement in the need for others to leave--and to find friendship, but more in the fact that she wants to share deeper emotions with him. |

| This song is about the conformity in which are minds bite off of. We are the killers of reason and our beliefs in religion is what 'blows our houses down.' The war-like phrases are what make us forget that 'God is dead' throughout their statements of intensity. With that said, there are many dark nights that elude us just like the Kind who eludes his own need to be intelligent. Just like the president that shouldn't dictate to the point of squandering over other people's beliefs. Just to the point that the president is in a way similar to "God' because there is an unorthodox way to control the civilians or control THE children. The children of sexism, destruction, religion and other terrible, terrible ideas. We are all repressed children be it by the belief in our imaginative deity or the president--a solidified human being who will most likely lack morals. (quite often times that is the case.) We will not want to change the way our society is but instead keep it in charge of past similarity in order to keep it set. We will oppose all natural changes and behave and charge the hands of humanity via war, despite, hatred, and all other old concepts that bite us today. | |

I just read a couple of comments above (from writing this since the box is below) and realized something. If this person has a husband who she feels cold about then maybe that is what he wants her to change so she can feel remorse for any further situations. It's quite possible that she will feel a sense of sanity after the guilt and therefore find herself outwardly manifested as true happiness instead of pretense that is a white line and blob of nylon-related despair upon her smiling lips--that only smile sarcastically. She may be singing from a past view in a way to make these ideas coexist, however, if she is speaking from the point of her life she sung this song, then it's quite possible that the character (who may be her) is feeling a sense of sadness and remorse for the inability to change her coldness to make her husband be more faithful as a human reaction similar to karma. (If she believes in that) 'I never had the chance to explain exactly what I meant' may be a feeling of guilt that she has today if this is a past, but regardless of it being past or present, she definitely is feeling a sense of coldness that she cannot explain and therefore cannot let go of the prime reason she still (from the past) feelings of guilt. She sings like that guilt is what is within her today--her smile coated in deep sarcastic whiteness (under symbolic interpretation and representation) She cares within a coldness. |

| Patriotic much. Yes, and this is what makes this song a massive hit. Too many segments of America have become infatuated with Hollywood scum, in love with pop culture and its endless sheen. This is what takes away the mental and emotional appearance and spotlights sugar on those who aren't even nice to their friends. Backstabbing like it's an ecstasy-inducing crime, lighting cigarettes like unhealthiness is near-fashion, and stating words that pertain to endless gossip-- tickling the minds of those who are fickle and sad. | |

| Everything that pertains to 'obsessions' is obvious, well, almost. The most obvious layering of this song is the segment about 'holding you' and 'cigarettes' which stands for obsessing; an obsession over a strange matter that ties you to the partner in a sort of mystifying-cult fashion. Therefor, the meaning is unhealthy as it is ecstasy inducing, and the deeper subliminal meanings is what ties each of their heads together attached to the particle of gateway drugs. However, this time, it isn't a fashion that is actually stemmed from the drug itself. It's involvement. A leadership to hell through the celestial knitting of the two. I think the song has an ironic meaning towards its personal skin. She is a sad, sad girl who made a commitment for her goals, and fell in the hands of drinking, because she fell down. Even though she is sad within, the drinking is what makes her feel celestial. |

| To me, this song is about being controlled by the concept of money and becoming deluded--like blood to the mind. Money becomes a disease and stops you from figuring out who you are because you're too focused on the media, and so you portray who you really aren't by saying yes to everything. You don't have a mind of your own anymore because you're way too focused on insignificant objection, when you could be digging into the core of your personal reflection and image. Rather than playing out a roll to be who you are, you use those things against you and state how you don't know who you are at the time being. | |
