Hmmm, well Naveed, you're right on the part about the name Naveed, but the Birdman is about polititions, the people running our government. For me on the other hand, this song has a certin meaning for me. I think it's about a young man lost in life. Trying to understand why things are the way they are. As hard as he tries, he finds himself in another problem. And this song I can relate to. It's when the "shit hits the fan" and life has gotten to hard to bear in his present state. So he moves to get out. P.s. Sorry about the spelling. |

This song means so much to me that I have to say more about it. I've been listening to this song nonstop, and I realized what it means to me is so much more than I have realized before. This is my last year in High School, and like I said earlier, this girl I have feelings for is still in my heart. I guess this song to me is that I am leaving and maybe for good. And I guess I realized I have only a limited amount of time till I leave the lives of some people I hold dear. I guess I am only human, and I can't hold on to all that is around me, but it doesn't mean I can't. I guess every time I hear this song, it makes me cry a little, and yet realizing I have only a limited amount of time till I am gone, and I have to make every moment count. The line "Last time I talked to you, you were lonely and out of place" is the best line that describes my feelings. And perhaps one day, me and her will run into each other and smile and talk... but till then, I will live my hoping, wondering about her. I like to dedicate this song to Amy...Please tell me at least we will know each other for a long time to come. |

I guess this song makes me feel free, like when I am walking on the streets of Milwaukee, in an industral area, where all you see is the tired old buildings, still up. Like my own soul. Actually, I believe the song is about perspective. The fact that you are drowning, flayling your hands around, screaming out names, it may look like you are saying, hey look at me. It's about how we all perscieve stuff, in average life. Next time you look at some thing that is easly misunderstood, get another persons opinion. Our Lady Peace... How far is it to peace, the piper sighed, The Solitary, sweating as he paused. Asphalt the noon; the ravens, terrified, Fled Carrion thunder that percussion caused... Yes, the band's name is a name of a poem, this is how they got the name... :) |

This is my favorate song out of all the olp songs. I've felt this way before, you know, how you think you have a friend, but it's not really a friend at all. And the friend is taking advantage of you as you wait, and think, but your mind is too clouded by the fact that you have a trusting friend. But to me, it means some thing else, completely different. It's meaning to me is that I have waited too long, and then I lost the oppertunity. Actually, my bands song, Lost Opertunity, is about being left in the dust cuz I never could keep up, and just procratinated. The clock strikes two, And my mind is gone. Well, as for this song, (there are two versons of it) it's about the begining of Grade. I think it was the first song they recorded was about a girl he loved. Five of his best friends are his band mates, beautiful people driving ugly cars are about how youth is beautiful, but at the same time kinda cheap. | |
