The Cure – Faith Lyrics 12 years ago
I totally agree with you. Despite the amount of people who se faith as a positive thing, this song simply cannot show it in a good light, due to the tone of the song.

Placebo – Black-Eyed Lyrics 13 years ago
He means that a lot of teenagers think that they have bipolar or some other mental illness because little things mean a lot to them and they have massive mood swings. I know thats not the definition of bipolar but to teenagers with almost no experience of the world the little things feel so bad or good and they have nothing to compare it to so they jump to conclusions

The Cure – Hey You! Lyrics 13 years ago
Xmas is the best time of the year, its a special time where you have the most fun, thats the only explanation I can think of, unless, xmas is also quite over rated and dissapointing so it could be a way of saying that sexy looking girls in bars ect. aren't all they seem or aren't as attractive/desirable as they are made out to be.

The Cure – Just Like Heaven Lyrics 13 years ago
It really annoys me how people think its ok to slag off people who like songs that are famous. I mean song like this one are only famous beacuse there so good. People complain when crap songs are popular and people complain when good songs are popular!!!!

The Cure – Hot Hot Hot!!! Lyrics 13 years ago
I don't think it matters whether its about sex or drugs, I think its just about a high of some sort that hes only been able to get a couple of times. (and I never went back)

The Cure – Last Dance Lyrics 13 years ago
A few people have questioned what the fur/hair reference is about. Well I think that the "fur" symbolises when she was younger and had animalistic passion and excitment but now she is older she has grown up and is used to things and has lost her passion for life and for love. "Hair and contentment", so she no longer reveals any emotion and has learnt to except things, whereas he can still live in a make believe world, where they are still together. I think thats what the "older than me now" lyrics means too.

The Cure – Lovesong Lyrics 13 years ago
This was the first Cure song I ever heard!!!! It got me hooked and now i'm a massive fan. :) BTW People are right this was a wedding present and I think its one of the simplest love songs out there, but behind the simplicity there is a sort of darker, melencoly side to it, like how 2/3 or whatever of marridges end in divorced, so you never know how long your love for each other is going to last.

The Cure – Pictures of You Lyrics 13 years ago
I remember when I first heard this song few months back (i'm 15). It was on the greatest hits album wedged inbetween lovesong and never enough. I didn't really listen to the lyrics properly and its taken a few sessions of listening for this to grow on me. Its strange how much a song changes when its played with all the other songs on an album. Now its on of my favorite songs. I love how in the first verse he "almost believes that the picture are real". Like how if he belived just a bit more it would be like the person from the pictures was alive/with him again and it would be like it used to, but he can't let himself think like that and he always has to remember that shes gone and not coming back. :(

The Cure – The Same Deep Water as You Lyrics 13 years ago
I think the "The shallow drowned lose less than we" means that its better in the long run to stay in "shallow water" than to take the risk "swimming in the same deep water as you" even though it seems like a good idea. In other words, even though it seems like the best thing to do, at the time, is get really involved in a relationship, you will only end up losing everything in the end. Sad really how it means that love isn't the most important thing in the world like most love songs say.
