I really liked the glee cover, actually. I thought it was a great way of showing forgiveness, you can see this in the way he says "I know you 're trying to forget". If she was trying to forget, then maybe she's trying to fix their relationship, and it seems as though he is too, or at least trying to make her forgive him. He says "I'll carry you home tonight", so he's trying to get the relationship back to the way it was. Also he says "I'm trying hard to take it back", which means that he wants her to forgive her, which shows that this song is about forgiveness. |

This song is most definatly my favorite of all time, and I'm totally convinced that it's about 9/11. Read over the lyrics, and try to think of it in that perspective. And btw, (this is for thedevilwearsprada) "When busy streets a mess with people would stop to hold their heads heavy" means, to me, that the streets are a mess with screaming people, rushing cars, hollering ambulences, there are the few people who stop and think for a moment about the people they just witnessed die. |

I just recently saw my 1/2 brother, and he was an 70's child so I asked him what he thought the song meant. He said "I don't know, but I remember that they always played it at any sports thing for like 5 minutes, and everyone would just keep saying 'We will, we will rock you!'". So even though I do think that this song is a representation of the different stages of life, I think it's just a nice song to listen to when your in the mood for rock. :) |

I definatly like this version too, but I think I like the other one better. At my dance studio, we have a dance called GAGA, and it's starstruck, just dance, bad romance, alejandro, paparazzi, poker face and then telephone. It's VERY cool! |

I think it means that she doesn't want some boyfriend who won't appriciate her or anything, but will just use her for her popularity. Just listened to this song in dance for about 1/2 an hour, but I like it, it's kind of grown on me. But yah, I love the music in the background! Especially the piano. |

I just recently watched the movie love hurts (SPOILER ALERT), and I personally think that this movie says it all about this song. It was about a man who loved his wife very much, but failed to see when she was upset with him about something. She decides to leave him, and finds a much younger, more attractive man, and he just loses it! He goes into such a state of depression that his son tries to spruce him up a bit, but only to attract the attention of other women. But when his son finds a lover, he and his ex-wife are forced closer and closer. But he finds in the end, that the only thing he ever had to do to win her back was to bring out his old self, the self that she missed so much. I totally think that movie explains it all! |

I think this is song is about 9/11. I dance competitively, and last year we did a lyrical dance to this song and our dance teachers went online and found that out. "Where are we? What the heck is going on? The dust has only just begun to fall." "Sinking, feeling. Spin me round again and rub my eyes, this can't be happening. When busy streets mess with people that would stop to hold, their heads, heavy. Hide and seek." If you think about it like this, you see that it is very possible that it's correct,but I definatly agree with la_ritchie, and I love the explanation. :D |
