Frank Zappa – Cheap Thrills Lyrics | 11 years ago |
'Cheap thrills all over the seat" is pretty obvious |
Frank Zappa – The Duke Of Prunes Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm pretty sure this song is completely full of innuendos, and that sounds like something Zappa would do for sure. Several keywords seem like they could be metaphors for body parts. In a way, the song sounds like it's about a one night stand. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the use of the word Cheese. |
Megadeth – You're Dead Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"I say I don't get mad I get even" Looks like Dave Mustaine listens to Aerosmith |
Frank Zappa – Willie The Pimp Lyrics | 12 years ago |
So that's where the album title comes from. |
Buckethead – Onions Unleashed Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Instrumental my ass! |
Buckethead – The Shape vs. Buckethead Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Thanks for putting these up! I was able to hear some of the "inaudible" parts as well as some parts that you just got wrong by mistake. Here's the parts you missed. Hahahahahahaa Did I hear you say "is life worth living?" Hahahahaha, ohhhh I think that depends on the living Buckethead, Buckethead Kill 'em all, get him Buckethead But he's already dead So whatcha gonna do, do You gonna do, ooh Get out the coop So Buckethead He's comin' through So Buckethead steps up And pulls out his weapon He aims for the throat But he didn't hit nothin' And the fire got thick They begin to rumble I can't tell who's who The suit is starting to crumble I heard a holler, a scream And bones being broke Yeah, maybe I better run I'm not used to this kind of situation Uh, Bucket, can you help me out? Yeah, I need a little navigation, baby As for the part that goes "Yeah, cause Buckethead’s the life of the [inaudible]" I don't understand what he's saying either. BTW the deep voice isn't meant to be Michael Myers. |
Pantera – Avoid the Light Lyrics | 12 years ago |
A bunch of lines are wrong, so I've written out the correct lyrics for the song. *Backwards* Satan's wrath is the only choice His still-born army is impeccable Modern day plague Stronger than any and every Virus, disease, or sickness Full eclipse Of ideality Anti-christian And nocturnally alive (undead) Buried underneath Two-thousand years (of histories) Yet able to rise Instinctively arise Avoid the light The sun's in sight The undead should be sleeping Avoid the light That cross so bright My fledglings dropping, weeping Avoid the light Overt your sight Go underground discretely Avoid the light Avoid the light Avoid the light Avoid the light True and pure horror Man's ultimate enemy and predator Wrapped into one Spread black wings Of damnated Then falling into Shaping mortal man (nonslaved) Plasma cover Will override (your true emotion) The pure inversion To guard my countless graves Avoid the light The sun's in sight The undead should be sleeping Avoid the light That cross of light My fledglings dropping, weeping Avoid the light Overt your sight Go underground discretely Alone Unseen Reborn Reseed It's a battle of wills (It's a battle of wills) Ingloriously killed (We shall devour) [Guitar solo] Avoid the light The sun's in sight The undead should be sleeping Avoid the light That cross of light My fledglings dropping, weeping Avoid the light Overt your sight Go underground discretely Avoid the light Avoid the light Avoid the light Avoid the light *Backwards* Satan's wrath is the only choice His still-born army is impeccable |
Pantera – I'll Cast A Shadow Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Does anyone have any idea what is being said at the end of the song? All I can hear in particular is Phil saying "Kiss my ass, Dracula" and something else along the lines of "I said 'SHUT UP and get back to work,' he's like 'ok'" |
Pantera – Death Rattle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm pretty sure the song is about how Phil had backpains during the Vulgar tour and would use herion as a painkiller which lead to even more pain later on. He's using a deadly venomous snake as a metaphor as a syringe which is like saying he was injecting himself with snake venom which is why he says "Depleted from years of abuse" |
Mastodon – The Wolf Is Loose Lyrics | 12 years ago |
13 Steps To Nowhere by Pantera has to be the best drum intro ever. |
Mastodon – Bladecatcher Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think the song is about the main character's encounter with a Giant Enemy Crab. It sounds like the explosion sound at the end of the song is when the main character attacked the crab's weak point for massive damage. |
AC/DC – What Do You Do For Money Honey Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The lyrics are typed in dialect. It's just as correct as the way you spelled it. |
Lou Reed & Metallica – The View Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Has no one commented on this yet? |
Breaking Benjamin – Skin Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I seriously doubt that |
Rob Zombie – Meet The Creeper Lyrics | 12 years ago |
BTW, I forgot to mention that PornoSatan (wtf kinda name is...) was right about the ending. Someone says "There are more maniacs loose than one thinks" which does mean the song has to have something to do with a loose maniac in the first place. |
Rob Zombie – Meet The Creeper Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Apparently none of us can really agree with eachother on what this song is about, so I'll just give my "opinion" on what I think it means. First of all, this is Rob Zombie's first album we're talking about, so every song on it has to be about a particular halloween-esque creature of some kind. I think this song is all about a gravedigger known as "The Creeper". "Creature core you can't ignore I got 5000 fingers of dead, yeah" The creature core might have something to do with his sick obsession with what he does, which gives him a motive. The 5000 fingers of dead could be a collection of his findings. "Rats are we, you can't break free You're with the living on your bed, yeah!" As mentioned before, rats are scavengers so this could be the gravedigger being compared to a rat which would make sense. The "bed" could be talking about the dead person's grave being their eternal resting place, but he say's "you're with the living" meaning the dead aren't necessarily safe from people like him. "Meet the Creeper Dig in deeper! Meet the Creeper Yeah! YEAH!" Ok, first of all, the lyric is "Dig in deeper" not "Take it deeper". Second, this makes a better connection with The Creeper being a gravedigger for a reason I don't need to explain. "Aaaaaah I see the dead in your eyes Aaaaaah I transform in the skies" For some reason, when he says "Aaaaaah" they way he does it sounds like an acid trip to me, lol. This could be an idea of The Creeper getting some sort of sick pleasure from "seeing the dead in your eyes". As for the "transform in the skies", that's the one part I don't really understand. Although, if you've seen Silence Of The Lambs, I can see what he MIGHT mean by transform. "Stabbing out the city's crowd Like a dagger falling on your baby" At this part of the song all the major points have already been cleared up. This is just a continuation of him explaining how he gets off on gravedigging. Calling the dead a "baby" is his way of saying how the dead are pretty much defenseless from him. "Thrill the kill, you know you will Feed the monster and the lady" Thrill the kill is still continuing on the point above. Feed the monster and the lady is kinda like Beauty and The Beast, or as a better example, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. So he's basically saying gravedigging feeds his wicked side and innocent side (maybe as a way of saying he has no innocent side). That's pretty much every line of the song, and I can't say that's the meaning for sure, but what I've found out is that usually the lyrics to a song should only take a couple words to describe, especially if it's only 3 minutes long. Song writers give themselves an idea to write about before they write it, and usually it's just a one word idea. Still, I don't want anyone to think I have the only right answer here, so whether you agree with me or not, this is my interpretation. |
Black Sabbath – St. Vitus Dance Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Sounds like they were trying to make a second Paranoid to me |
Megadeth – Sudden Death Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Don't you guys realizing this song is a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne? It's pretty obvious "His evil highness born from disaster" Ozzy's band, Black Sabbath, used to be a blues band called Earth, but then he turned evil and formed the first metal band in existence. "Set free from beneath the depths of hell" Ozzy is the Prince Of Darkness after all. In fact Prince Of Darkness is another song that Dave wrote as a Homage to Ozzy, so you can tell this isn't the first time he wrote a song like this "The beast is genetically programmed" Normal people would be dead by the time they hit Ozzy's age due to all the drugs and alcohol he's had, but Ozzy is strangely still alive. This is Dave's theory for why that is. "Now death descends upon you Like a bloody white dove" I'm sure we all remember that time Ozzy bit the head of a Dove. Now that I've cleared up the meaning of this song, I'm sure you are all ever so greatful. I'll be modest though, because I only explain these things to people because I can. Your welcome! (Or maybe I just made all of that up :P) |
Iron Maiden – Total Eclipse Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think the lyric goes "A cry of fear for the children" not the "chosen" |
Iron Maiden – 22 Acacia Avenue Lyrics | 12 years ago |
lol, let it be known to the world that UpTheIrons is the self-proclaimed "smartest man in the world" |
Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Now isn't that an appropriate band name. It's like they understand that the stuff they write is garbage. |
Aerosmith – F.I.N.E. Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm pretty sure that was just a joke on their part. It says so in the booklet, but I'm guessing it was just because they wanted to come up with some sort of random abbreviation and the one they chose is basically the exact opposite of what the song is like. |
Aerosmith – F.I.N.E. Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It was released as a single and it made the Billboard 200 chart, so it was definitely a hit. |
Aerosmith – F.I.N.E. Lyrics | 12 years ago |
F.I.N.E. is the second track of the album and was written before What It Takes which is the 10th track. So really, you just got it backwards. What It Takes makes a reference to this song. |
Aerosmith – Intro Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You got the lyrics all wrong. These are the correct lyrics Wake up kid It's half past what you think Nothing really changes but the date Oh you're a grand slammer But you're no Babe Ruth You better learn how to relate I hope you're swinging from the pearly gate I got all answers low and behold I got the right key baby But the wrong key hole Yo |
Slayer – Angel Of Death Lyrics | 12 years ago |
^Same with me actually, then I heard his voice immediately afterwards and thought "Damn!" |
Rammstein – Amerika Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm pretty sure Wonderbra means Wonderbread XD |
Slayer – Raining Blood Lyrics | 12 years ago |
^Actually Metallica released their demo in 1981 "No Life Till Leather" which is before any of their releases. Afterwards their song "Hit The Lights" actually got recognized when it was put on the first Metal Massacre compilation in 1982. So really, I was straight up Metallica. |
Kamelot – This Pain Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Really awesome song |
Kamelot – Moonlight Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think this song has a bit of influence from Center Of The Universe off their album Epica from the year before. Particularily the flute sounding thing in the middle. |
Buckethead – Waiting Here Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's Waiting Hare, and Buckethead titled it that way because of his sense of humor. That much has been confirmed. As for the lyrics, I'm pretty sure it goes "Taking caution" instead of "Digging caution" or "Take compassion" |
Buckethead – Jowls Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Come on man, there's a huge dialogue in this song, do you actually expect us to believe this is an "instrumental"? |
Buckethead – Sow Thistle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I'm glad someone actually posted the lyrics instead of just leaving [Instrumental] in another song they couldn't be bothered to actually write the lyrics for. This is actually an really interesting song because out of all of Buckethead's solo work, this one is most like a Praxis song. It's also one of the few early songs he's done that actually has a chorus. |
Kamelot – When The Lights Are Down Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Well Horrorfestlover is the one who hit the nail on the head. Since the whole album is a concept on the story Faust, it gets it's meaning from that particular part of the story. |
Black Sabbath – Changes Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Every time I hear "But soon the world..." I keep thinking "Will love you sweet leaf" lol, I've heard Sweet Leaf too many times it seems :P |
Black Sabbath – Changes Lyrics | 12 years ago |
^ You mean Cornucopia? |
Aerosmith – Back In The Saddle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think this was a good album opener too. After their success with Toys In The Attic, starting the album off with "I'm back!" was a good way to put it. |
Black Sabbath – Sleeping Village Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Actually, I take that back. You Suffer by Napalm Death is by for the shortest lyrics for any song ever written. |
Black Sabbath – Sleeping Village Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Destiny by Tenacious D has the shortest lyrics I've ever seen |
Black Sabbath – Fairies Wear Boots Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Metallica has taken a fair share of Black Sabbath's material. For example, Children Of The Grave is pretty similar to the riff in the middle of The Four Horsemen. |
Alice in Chains – Rain When I Die Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think the actual title of the song (I think it's gonna rain when I die) is a metaphor for a flower. The idea is that flowers tend to die when they don't get watered well enough, and Layne Staley is "the flower". He predicts that when he's wilted it will rain right afterwards as a way of saying his death will happen too soon and what could've saved him would already be too late. |
Ozzy Osbourne – I Just Want You Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Despite the unlikelyness of Ozzy calling himself poor, I liked this explanation the best. |
Ozzy Osbourne – I Just Want You Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Listen to After Forever by Black Sabbath. In fact just look at the cover of his best of album "The Ozzman Cometh" because it's front and center. |
Black Sabbath – Iron Man Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You're joking right? There just has to be some religious meaning behind every single song in the world it seems. Even people have said Lonely Island's "I'm On A Boat" has to do with Christianity somehow. |
Disturbed – Asylum Lyrics | 13 years ago |
It surprising to me that no one has found out the meaning yet. OBVIOUSLY this song is about David Draiman's immense hunger for dead babies. "No remnants were ever found of it" He really cleans his plate "It never went away completely" His hunger is never-ending it seems "Another day gone" He eats dead babies very often "Dark forces pull me underground" Since dead babies are hard to come by he's forced to go grave digging every night "How can I feel this empty?" His incredible hunger surprises himself too "And feel you die" Sometimes he has to kill them himself "Death inside of me" Self explanatory "...now it's dragging me Into your grave Your asylum" Self explanatory "Punishment for the immoral crime" Because technically it's illegal to eat dead babies "In the end there will be no suffering" He prefers them dead because dead babies can't feel a thing Well it's a good thing I cleared that all up for you people. You can thank me later (I'm probably gonna get flamed for this :P) |
Muse – Sober Lyrics | 13 years ago |
If you actually went on their site to see the lyrics you'd know it really IS supposed to say "You're so solid" |
Linkin Park – Crawling Lyrics | 13 years ago |
You have ruined this song for me forever |
Nirvana – Something in the Way Lyrics | 13 years ago |
darklite, this song was written before Kurt Cobain was in a band. Plus, this ablum WAS the album that made Nirvana so big in the first place, so it's rather impossible to forsee the amount of fame he was gonna have in the future before it even happened. |
Daft Punk – Too Long Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Those songs are incredibly progressive and take you on quite a journey while this one sort of dances in one place for over half the song. So in a way, it really is too long. |
Daft Punk – Superheroes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
ROFL |
