To me, the narrator is a married old woman who did everything she's supposed to do: get married, have kids, never cheat, never sin. However, she regrets it, and she thinks about all of the things she has lost in order to live life where and how she should be, and where she'll die. That's a pretty sad song and I feel like there is so many women outhere who coudl relate to that, and I feel their sorrow in Atoine's voice. To me this is o ene of his highest points in the album. |

I have no idea why this song has such few comments. To me, this is KT's highest point of her compositions, this song is so beautiful and so emotional and so well played and written and planned. It's a definite masterpiece and it makes me want to cry all the time I listen to it, just because it's so beautiful. That being said, to me the lyrics speak about a harmful relationship, wether love or friendship. It's about being with a person that is always testing you and expanding your ideas or danger, loyalty and the ability of hurting you without you leaving. To me, she wrote this about the same relationship she talks about in "Difficulty". |

How come every Placebo song is an ode to drugs or sex to you guys? To me, this is simply a song about needing someone (it could be related, or a boyfriend/girlfriend, or simply a friend) so desperately you just can't picture you existing without them. It is a beautiful but disturbing song about needing. |

I reckon this music talks about politics. I live in Rio de Janeiro and Thom's words before singing it here were "this is for you when America tries to fuck you up" I already had this on my mind, but after hearing he saying this I just felt like this song is some kind of "stand up and fight" anthem. Even though Tom sings with such a dull voice - I guess he's trying to simulate the inner knowledge that we know that we can fight for our rights, but our inner voice is yet too sleepy to do something. But we know it anyway. I wish my whole country could be able to understand that we can't fight any armies... and stopping with the "forget so easily"'s... :/ |

this song is SO good... I believe is about letting go about something that's getting you down, feeling good afterall, "setting your clock to the moon", "releasing that pressure" of you. She's comparing the big sadness that you're feeling with a hugh monster, and it has to be moved outside from you, little by little, or vertebrae by vertebrae, metaphorically. |

| I listened this song for the first time when I was in love with someone and he knew it, and he didnt take me. Helped me a lot to cope with the angerness and denial that I felt. For me, Bjork experienced the same, due to the anger and energy that she sings the lyrics. I didnt feel so alone. =) | |

I think your abortion theory is lame. Also the depression thing. It's just not that literal. I think "False Alarm" is about when you fall in love with someone that doesnt really loves you back but keeps giving falses alarms and wrong messages. And also the narrator keeps seeing messagems inside his head to, misinterpreting. "And every answer sounds the same Just colours bleeding into one that hasn't got a name" because you only hear what you wanna hear. I dunno, maybe because i've been in this situation so I know the feeling so pretty much I could describe as "distance doesnt caring" and "space you meant to fill" anyway this is my favourite KT song of all, and I said that to her. haha |

I've been listening to this song over and over (and I actually can sing it enritely without reading the lyrics, it's crazy) and thinking about it. I reached the conclusion that the both parts are related. She's in a relationship with someone who clearly have a lot of issues about I don't know what, and she needs to handle it all the time, like asking him is he is doing fine? or helping him and stuff. I think the last "talked" part goes on inside her head when they're talking in the grass. I think this song is about someone you're dating who is being through rough problems and usually forgets or seems to forget all about you, asking if YOU're doing fine, and stuff. And then, she is feeling forgotten and starts a really great monologue inside her head talking about herself, thins that she likes, things she wants to do, because he is clearly not interested or not asking, so she is feeling alone and simulates a conversation with him inside her head, in which she explodes and talks all she's been thinking, and that's why this part is fast, because its just thoughts. Okay I overthinked, but that's my favourite Kate Nash's song and I'm absolutely in love with it. *BTW sorry if i missed anything in english cause im brazilian and im just trying my luck here lol* |
