I wish they played Arctic Monkeys music on the Radio, I live in Mexico and none of the 1000,000 (I don't know how radio stations are there, I'm just exaggerating) stations plays their music. |

This lyrics are a lot of things, but they are not BAD. Exactly what prettyvisitor99 said, Alex Turner is one of the best lyricists of our generation, because he writes the TRUTH, real things that happen to normal and real people. That's why the Arctic Monkeys are awesome, because they aren't afraid of saying what's on their mind, what they think, and everyone (including me) relates to their songs, at least in one.
And they don't do POP music, It's Indie, totally different.
I also agree with you Ladyblue82, this is the stuff you don't heat on the radio and none of their songs have clichés or cheesy lame stuff. |

I agree that he is trying to get over a girl and is looking for someone that looks like her, and he's trying to replace her love with another girl. When he says "I saw your sister" I don't think he means literally her sister, he means that the girl is so alike that she looks liker her sister. Because if it really was her sister if would be creepy and non-romantic. And that doesn't sound like Alex at all. |
