| i agree with everything you have to say, but, i disagree with you for the blood for wine. what he's talking about transubstantiation, or the belief that when the priests bless the ceremonial wine (and bread) that it literally turns into it into blood (and flesh), so when he says they swapped the blood for wine, he's being ironic because technically its supposed to be the other way around. long story short: he's using clever wordplay to say that priests are abandoning their sacred ways. | |
