I agree that its about a sexual encounter. I have a theory though, that the 'hot wax' is referring to a condom. Is it just me or does the riff at the end (from 2:10 to 2:25) sound like it matches the next track "Shelter" - although it's much slower. Every time I listen to it, in my head I hear Romy singing "maybe I had said, something that was wrong. Can I make it better, with the lights turned on" |
