Pretty sure several lines are wrong here. This transcription on Lyriki.com seems closer: http://lyriki.com/Eminem:Lose_Yourself Only one line in that version seems possibly wrong to me: "But I kept rhymin and stepped right in the next cypher" vs. the line here: "But I kept rhymin and stepwritin the next cypher" Honestly neither sound correct. It's the only line that doesn't seem right somehow. Maybe it's "But I kept rhymin in step, writing the next cypher" |

Yes, Atomic Punk they reuse several arrangements throughout, I'm sure intentionally. This album feels much more like a complete piece as opposed to a collection of singles. listening to it all at once really takes you through several movements, but all centered around some central feeling. At least I think so. On a second note. I totally agree with the Stock Market/sugar daddy interpretation. I am tepted to think that he is saying "when the profits fell" and "I want to stay earning" as in earning the big profits he had been, which were the only thing he was able to use to get and keep this girl. Paul said himself that he took on the perspective of the "loser in love" for the songwriting on this album. It fits well. |
