It's about a bitch who didn't appreciate him, someone who couldn't ever be happy, no matter what. This man does not still have hope for the girl, in my opinion. what he means in "I see the sun rising, all you see is it fall" is that he see's the good, the sun coming up, the joy..all she see's is the end. and I lovelovelove her plastic cup metaphor. even though i in no way agree with it. :) Remains my favourite kooks song, never ever get sick of it :D |

Okay, I may be wrong. But my interpretation of the first bit "I fed the wolves to try and keep them quiet, now they just feed off me" It seems like he's tried to block his problems to stop them from getting to him, but now they just feed off him, eating him away. that type of thing..in saying that the only person who could really know what these lyrics are about is Pyke himself. Lyrics can be taken anyway at all depending on the person. that's what's so amazing about them. |
