it's about being a sexually frustrated teenager. note the use of rather harsh sexual imagery - the season rubs me wrong, the summer swells (WHAT ELSE SWELLS ON A SEXUALLY FRUSTRATED TEENAGE BOY? THAT'S RIGHT) leda in classical mythology was a chick so hot that zeus seduced her and in this song she is the girl he wanks to. the REM stuff is because they were really big the summer he was a sexually frustrated teenager so he associates their music with that summer and all the wanking he did |
