Eddy Grant – Gimme Hope Jo'anna Lyrics 2 years ago
I was wondering if the verses \'I wanna know...if you wanna hear the sound of drums\' and \'don\'t make me wait till the morning come\' conceal a threat and what that could be.

It sounds like an experienced cowboy giving his advice to a newbie, ambitious kid who'd like to follow his steps.

In my opinion, the lyricist likes to be sarcastic when he's joking, he doesn't care for the possibility to get criticized for his jokes from humorless people who can't get them and he ended up writing this song which looks like a self-satire, but actually he tries to ridicule them.

Alice Cooper – Hey Stoopid Lyrics 13 years ago
A very clever song. He's saying things a priest would say using the ultimate rock way! Kids tend to reject things a parent would say, that's why he says "this ain't your daddy talking"! "Your story ain't so shocking" :-) Haha amazing! he's showing parental wisdom! If a parent would call his child "stupid" it would be like pushing it over the cliff but what if a rock star sings it? Many parents should be grateful to Alice Cooper.
