Wolfmother – Vagabond Lyrics 13 years ago
Amen. The song hits that 'homeless' feeling- she is his home, and without his home, he is forced to wander without a purpose. Really powerful and REALLY catchy.

And those guys are better for it.

We all know what the song is about after one listen. Which is why it's so good. I use this song to convince myself that I'm better than the bitch(es) that break my heart.

I like this song soooo much.

It has a great meaning behind it. IMO, it's about a guy who feels that his relationship isn't going anywhere, even though he can tell that it could be great. He says 'anyone can make it/anyone can even fake it": a great set of lines about how much people fake a relationship to protect it. Despite all of that, he still doesn't understand why the relationship isn't going anywhere. It isn't a plea for sex, just a plea for her to see things the way he does.

O.A.R. – War Song Lyrics 13 years ago
I like to listen to this song as if the guy just got drafted and he doesn't want to really go, and when he comes back he battles something all too common, PTSD ("I have the same dream every night"). All in all what he really wants is his girl to wait for him to come back.

P.S.- @illkickyouinthenuts- O.A.R. is miles better than DMB.

Not every song that sounds like another song is a 'fucking rip-off'...

Green Day – Homecoming Lyrics 13 years ago
Exactly.

"Really, he only had two choices: be the quiet boy everyone loves and ignores (Jesus), or be the punk who does what he wants and everyone hates (Jimmy). Either way you end up alone." - The best way to describe JoS's dilemma.

I always heard this song as a 'rival boyfriend' type song. He's obviously narcissistic, "it's the greatest thing that has yet to have happened, imagine knowing me", and the song has a very 'braggy' tone. I love PATD, and I love this album more than Fever, even though that was one of my favorite dance rock albums I have ever heard. Great sound experiments, keep it up!

Don't think so- listen closely, there is a distinct 'F' sound there.

I love new Panic! They are experimenting with a sound, and while they may not have found it perfectly, I like this record more than Fever.

Nice connections. Is Pretty. Odd. a modern Alice?

The whole album has a Broadway style. I especially love Mad As Rabbits and would love to see it on stage.
