i agree with all the comments above, however i dont think he cheated on her. i think the "three words have two meanings' could refer to his love for her and his love for his music career which has made him 'out of touch' with her and his life back home. he is also 'out of sight', meaning he is very rarely at home and able to spend time with her but he wants to. i also think that 'all these things that i have done' refers to him constantly choosing his career over her, but now he is going to make more of an effort and love her better. this also ties in with a lot of the other songs on the album which are about being seperated from home and the people he loves. |

I love this song, i think that it seems like a song about a girl that has been changing and the relationship isnt going where the guy expected it to. maybe she handled the relationship or breakup in a bad way? "when you see my friends, tell them hi for me, tell them what you think about the way you handled everything" in terms of the chorus i also think th a bad that maybe he used to be in a bad group of friends that he introduced her to and she has fallen in with them. the only part of the song that i dont get is "Sign me up, no regrets. Make a man out of me." it sounds to me like he is enlisting in the army but i dont really see how that ties in with the rest of song.. oh well, i would love to hear other peoples opinions (: |

"'Cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world" i love when she sings this line. gives me goosebumps everytime. also when she says "i had the time of my life, fighting dragons with you". i dunno but it reminds me of a song you would sing at the end of high school. i know thats not what its about but it just seems like that kind of song. deifinitely reminds me of change. :) |

im shatterd no one else has commented on this song, or any of the other tonight alive songs. they are an AMAZING band, and this song in particular is fantastic, especially since Jenna, the lead singer, is only 17 years old. too me this song is about that time when you like someone and neither of you know what the other is thinking, youre not sure who should be making the first move or what is supposed to happen. i think the song is about a couple, a guy who is maybe in love with the idea of love, and very in love with this girl but she is afraid of having such strong feelings and such a deep relationship so she leaves without telling him. she is afraid to say goodbye to him, thats why she says "i have done something so terrible" "im terrified to speak but you'd expect that from me" i think means that she is afraid to say something that will hurt him, so she just leaves without saying anything. |

i think that the song is about how alex is dealing with everything in his life - his brother and the bands success.He is reaching out for help because he is overwhelmed with who he has become and the path that his life has taken him, when he says "im a walking travesty" it means he is afraid that he is becoming unoriginal and not memorable. also when he says "Arrogant boy love yourself so no one has to.." its about how he is afraid that he is going to go through his life and not be remembered how he hwants to be. thats just my opinion though love this song :) |
