For all of those OUT of the know... M. Shadows had to have surgery on his vocal chord due to the SEVERE damage that he had done to them over the years since the Hopeless comp. A7X first appeared on back in 2000. He is unable to lay down the screams that made Avenged Sevenfold the band it "once was"... I was at the San Diego CD release party, and he didn't bring it up... but its true... all the older jams... were sung, with clean vocals... my friends and I had to fill in the "blanks" :p Please don't hate A7X becos Shadows sacrificed his voice for our aural pleasure. I dunno...its appears to me that, on the contrary to what all of you are thinking, hes actually TRYING to sell himself to you for that sense of acceptance... The dead giveaway is in the first line, of the first verse of this song... "Can't you see my soul, its on the RECORD sleeve/It's going up for sale as soon as it gets saved..." What that line infers is that he may not be perfect, but he'd love to have that intangible feeling of appreciation...
