A Perfect Circle – Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums Lyrics 13 years ago
you have a lot of knowledge. while i was reading this i was like "dam this dude (i camm everyone dudes no matter what gender) is smart". Like you, i am smart the way you are....exept I feel that you beat me on this one. I didnt think of the over obsessive boyfriend thing...but yes i definitelly agree with all you said; about how this can be intrepeted in many ways. there is no right or wrong answer, that's the beauty of it, because we get to feel good about what our responses about it are. Even if someone doesnt agree, that person shouldnt care because everyone has different opponions when it comes to something like this, therefore, everyone would be agreeing and dissagreeing with each other,...the important part is to keep thinking about what you believe in, and not change your mind about it because more are going against you. The only thing about which has right and wrong is when it comes to like in what decade did the Holocaust took place? the answer would be 1940's and there is no other answer, because that's the right one, but when it comes to intrepeting something, or giving an oppinion about something there is never a right or wrong answer, just the satisfaction that you were able to think deeper into the meaning of something. So i totally agree with you dude...keep doing what you are doing, that is telling others that there are many different things to say, and no wrong or right answer, and jus keep being yourself, because that's the great way to go through life :)

A Perfect Circle – Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums Lyrics 13 years ago
This song reminds me of the Holocaust somehow. There is a part in which someone is talking, like giving a speech and to me it sounded like it was Hitler. That's not the thing that reminded me about the Holocaust itself, but the title. Counting bodies like sheep to the rythm of the war drums...is like counting all those bodies from the dead people (Jewish, Christians, gays, all those who didn't fit the category of "a perfect person" in Hitler's eyes), and of course to the rythm of the war drum is like to do with a war, but i can itrepet it as like the people were killed at a steady beat (since like to me the rythm of the war drum would sound like a steady beat). Yeah, that's what i think. and the person who is saying "Go back to sleep" is like one of those victims who were hidding during the holocaust, like, they were trying to keep the realities of the cruel world taking place at that time, but reasuring them that they will protect them, and they should just calm down and "go back to sleep". the last line however was hard at first for me to relate it to the holocaust but i got something. "save you from yourself" for me was like...'i will kill you, even though it will be hard, but i must do it so that all these things wont lead you to suicide, and your soul is dirtied by doing that..i rather see my soul go bad then see yours go bad' that's basically what i thought...i got more..but is just too much..

System of a Down – Soldier Side Lyrics 13 years ago
The song somehow reminds me of Hitler. didn't Hitler use very young kids to fight for him? Well the part that it said "All young men must go" reminded me of that, because when i thought of young i thought of children, and how (as far as i can remember of what i learned in school...youth group..was it called...idk is been long time)they were used to fight in the war for Hitler.

The Fixx – Red Skies Lyrics 13 years ago
For me it reminds me of like Pearl Harbor. The "red skies" for me is a metaphor for the Japaneesse (was it?) being on their air plane, to go and aim at them... " it look like they're aiming Right at you" and they feel like they will "be dead by morning". I know that must not be the true meaning but is a different way this song can be intrepeted.
